International Academic Conference Actual Issues of Forensic Examination and Criminalistics, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the institution founding took place on October 10-11, 2018 at the Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic examinations.
 
 
The following topics were discissed:
– Normative and legal regulation of Forensic Science in Ukraine: problems and ways of their solution; 
– Criminalisctic tasks and trends at the present stage;
– Topical issues of forensic science theory;
– Theoretical and legal issues of international standard introduction at Ukrainian Forensic Science Institutions;
– Problems of scientific, methodological and informational support of forensic science institution activity;
– Innovative technology use while development of methods for performing certain types of examinations;
 – Improvement of training for forensic scientists on the basis of a professional model of forensic science activity subjects;
– Theoretical and applied issues of monitoring the state of violations of principles of forensic scientist activity and standards for human rights and freedoms protection; 
– Current situation and prospects of development of expert didactics;
– International cooperation in the field of Forensic Science.
 
  
 
The Conference was attended by over 200 people, including: Ministry of Justice of Ukraine representatives, other state power and self-governing authorities, forensic science  institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Donetsk, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk Research Institutes of Forensic Examinations, Research Center for Forensic Expertise on Intellectual Property), Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, higher educational institutions and scientific institutions of law enforcement, public and other organizations of Ukraine, forensic science institutions of the Republic of Armenia (National Bureau of Expertise of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia),  Republic of Belarus (State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus), Republic of Latvia Latvian (The Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates, Latvian University), Republic of Lithuania (Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania ), Republic of Moldova (National Center of Forensic Expertise at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova), Republic of Kazakhstan (Center for Forensic Examination of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its regional institutions), Republic of Poland (Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police, Warsaw); Institute of Forensic Research, Krakow), Romania (National Institute of Forensic Expertise of Romania, Bucharest), Republic of Tajikistan (Republican Center for Forensic and Forensic Examination under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan), etc.  In total, more than 120 reports and scientific reports have been received at the conference.
 
 

 
The conference was opened by the director of the Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Oleksandr Mykolayovych Kliuiev, who greeted the audience, thanked the scientists and practical workers for their conference participation.
 
 

 
Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Doctor of Law Svitlana Volodymyrivna Hlushchenko noted that such conferences play an important role for practitioners and theoreticians and wished all conference participants creative inspiration and success on their scientific way.
 
Rector of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, State Prize Laureate, Hero of Ukraine Vasyl Yakovych Tasiy congratulated the Institute staff and other conference participants on the occasion of significant date and wished for further success in research and forensic science activities. 
 
 
First Deputy Chairman Igor Alexandrovich Terekhov, First Deputy Mayor of the City Mayor of Kharkiv congratulated the Institute staff on the new stage of development, noted the relevance of planned speeches of conference participants and wished them successful work.
 
 
 
Member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the North-Eastern Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko congratulated the  Institute staff on the conferenceopening identifying an significant contribution of forensic scientists in the rule of justice in Ukraine and presented the NASU of Ukraine awards to managers and employees of the Institute.
 
 
 
Representatives of other Government Entities, local self-government, law-enforcement agiencies, higher educational institutions, forensic science institutions and others also spoke with congratulations.
 
 
 
More than 80 participants made presentations and reports while the conference. The greatest interest caused the reports of O.M. Kliuiev – Director of Kharkiv RIFE, V. Yu. Shepitko –Head of the Department of Criminalistics of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine N.M. Tkachenko –  Head of the forensic science providing Justice regarding judicial work and the bankruptcy of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;  Dauletkeldìkyzy – Director of the Research Institute of forensic Center of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan; V.M. Shevchuk – Professor of the Department of Criminalistics at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, V. Ceglarski, – Forensic Scientist of Central Expert Laboratory of Police (Warsaw), K. Biskup – Forensic scientist of Central Expert Laboratory of Police (Warsaw), Kataraga – Director of the National Center of Forensic Examination (Republic of Moldova), Petkovich – Deputy Director for academic affairs of the National Center of Forensic Examination (Republic of Moldova); K. V Makhankov – State Institution Scientific and practical center of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus.
  
 
There was signing cooperation agreements between Hon. Prof. M.S. Bokarius Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations and Forensic Institutions of the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Poland, and Romania. Agreements provide for bilateral cooperation in the research field, creation of new and improved existing methods of forensic research, exchange of experience in the field of forensic scientist practice, mutual internships, etc.
 
 
 

Signed cooperation agreements with the State Scientific Institution Scientific-technological complex Institute of Single Crystals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.
