On October 16, 2019, in the framework of expanding international relations and enhancing international cooperation in the field forensic science, a delegation from Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations involving Oleksandr Kliuiev, Director of the Institute, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine; Oleksandr Sviderskyi, Deputy Director on Forensic Examinations, PhD in Law; Andrii Lubentsov, Head of the Laboratory of Engineering and Transport Research, PhD in Law visited the Forensic-Criminalistic Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in Tbilisi.
During the meeting, with direct participation of Head of the Forensic Expert Center, Sergo Dzagnidze, an official signing of a Memorandum was held.
 
 

This document provides for cooperation in the areas of personnel exchange, joint research and development, organization of joint seminars, conferences, and other scientific forums on priority areas of forensic activity; providing scientific, methodological, consultative and practical mutual assistance in the issues of scientific and forensic activities, etc.
 

 
 
After the signing ceremony, the Georgian colleagues organized a tour all over the premises of the Forensic-Criminalistic Department during which the delegation from KhRIFE got acquainted with the process of carrying out ballistic, trace and explosive expertise, as well as study of firearms, ammunition, footprints, narcotic substances and precursors, etc.
 

 
Great attention was paid to discussing urgent issues of expert ensuring of justice, improving the methods of conducting forensic examinations in the context of combating international crime, which is constantly changing and transforming.
Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Kharkiv Research Institute of Forensic Examinations always maintains and expands international relations, as the development of Forensic science in modern conditions is impossible without involvement of foreign practice and enriching of our own scientific and practical experience.
