On February 7, 2023, a working online meeting was held with representatives of Panacea Cooperative Research (Spain) regarding the possibilities of use by employees of the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M.  S.  Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» software for personal identification using Skeleton•ID (craniofacial overlay, face comparison, biological profiling and comparative radiography). Skeleton•ID forensic identification software is actively used by law enforcement and government agencies around the world when it cannot be done by other means.

As noted by the participants of the meeting from the Spanish side, with the help of Skeleton•ID, a person can be identified in seconds (previously it took hours or even days): the patented technology automatically compares several skulls, skulls, and faces at the same time. The software can be used to search missing person databases or compare unidentified remains in mass graves.

During the discussion, the first steps for cooperation were agreed. Panacea Cooperative Research representatives offered to train NSC specialists to use this software. Application of the tandem available at the NSC «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius FSI» of the Artec Leo 3D scanner and the Skeleton•ID program will contribute to solving the problems of expert research that were not solved before. The support of international partners and organizations in the forensic area of Ukraine is very valuable, especially in the conditions of full-scale russian aggression against our state.

Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine!
