On March 7, 2023, four leading institutions in the field of science and technology of Ukraine: National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» (hereinafter referred to as NSC FSI), the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as NAMS), the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region (hereinafter referred to as MMCC NrR) and the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» (hereinafter referred to as NTU KhPI) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership. 

The Memorandum was signed by Oleksandr Kliuiev, Director of NSC FSI, Doctor of Laws, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, from NAMS - Vitaliy Tsimbalyuk, President of NAMS, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as NAS), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, from the Military Medical Center of the Northern Region - Eduard Khoroshun, Head of the Center, Hero of Ukraine, Commander of the group of forces and means of medicine «Kharkiv», Colonel of the medical service, Honored Worker of Health Care of Ukraine, from NTU KhPI - Yevhen Sokol, Rector, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

During the signing of the memorandum, there were present Ihor Lurin − Vice-President of the NAMS, Academician of the NAMS, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Major General of the Medical Service, Oleksandr Usenko − Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Director of O. O. Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology and other distinguished guests.

The conclusion of the Memorandum will contribute to cooperation in the field of medicine, medical science, and practice, strengthening of relations between institutions in various areas of scientific and practical activity, as well as improving the quality of highly specialized medical care for servicemen of the Armed Forces and the civilian population of Ukraine.

The event took place during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Oleksandr Kliuiev congratulated the members of the National Academy of Sciences on the thirtieth anniversary of the Academy founding. 

During the meeting, for a significant personal contribution to ensuring the defense capability and security of Ukraine, exemplary performance of professional duty, impeccable service, high professionalism, and demonstrated humanism and humanity at the same time, assistance to the State Defense Forces in repelling aggression from the russian federation, on the occasion of 30-anniversary of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine «Distinction of the Head of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region» was awarded to: Director of NSC FSI - Oleksandr Kliuiev, President of NAMS - Vitaliy Tsimbalyuk, Rector of the NTU KhPI - Yevhen Sokol, Director of O. O. Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology - Oleksandr Usenko. 

«Academician O. O. Shalimov Memorial Award» for personal significant contribution to the development of surgery in Ukraine, scientific and professional achievements, and impeccable work during the performance of official duties was awarded to: Colonel of the medical service Eduard Khoroshun — Head of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region, a surgeon; Colonel of the medical service Serhii Shipilov — Deputy Head of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region, a leading surgeon, surgeon; captain of the medical service Serhiy Panasenko ⎯ Head of the advanced surgical department of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region, a surgeon.

The cooperation of representatives from various fields of science and technology is another step on Ukraine’s path to victory.
