On April 14, 2023, the leadership and staff of the National Scientific Center «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine had the honor to become co-organizers and participate in the International Conference “Qualitative Research of the Crime Scene – an Important Factor in Subsequent Judicial Expertise” in an online format that was held in the Republic of Moldova among respected organizations in Europe and Ukraine. The event took place on the day of a professional holiday - Forensic Expert Day of the Republic of Moldova. Institutions and organizations from many countries, including Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Armenia, etc., took part in the conference.

Olga Cataraga, Director of the National Center of Judicial Expertise at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, addressed the participants with an opening speech. It is nice that she mentioned Ukraine in her speech and wished for a speedy victory over the enemy.

On behalf of the Center, Oleh Uhrovetskyi, First Deputy Director of NSC «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius FSI», made a welcome speech. First of all, Oleh Uhrovetskyi congratulated our Moldovan partners on the professional holiday, Forensic Expert Day, and wished them creative effort in their work. He also thanked all the employees of the National Center of Judicial Expertise at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova and directly Olga Cataraga, the Director of the Center, for the invitation to the conference, as well as for the long-term cooperation between our institutions and support of our country in difficult war times.

Among the representatives of our Center, Ella Simakova – Yefremian, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Anton Polianskyi, Head of Laboratory of NSC «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius FSI», and other employees also joined the Conference.

Our specialists actively responded to the invitation of Moldovan partners, in particular, they sent to the organizing committee of the conference 11 abstracts of reports prepared by 20 employees, scientists and forensic experts of the NSC «Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius FSI».

We are glad that we have the opportunity to participate in such conferences, round tables, and forums because it is a good opportunity to learn the intricacies of forensic and expert support of friendly countries and to exchange experience.

Together we will win! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Republic of Moldova!
